In a post-Snowden world companies are starting to really ramp up their encryption efforts, meanwhile attackers have been doing this for years as a way to infiltrate organizations and ex-filtrate data. How do you gain visibility into these encrypted streams of bits and bytes? Visibility is important. When services and applications get multiplexed into a data center, the single point of control that decrypts the ciphertext—the application delivery controller (ADC)—becomes the logical place for policy-based traffic steering.
